Hamas Means Violence in the Hebrew Bible

If you support Hamas you support violence.  In ancient biblical Hebrew and Arabic, the word hamas means violent or violence,  cruelty, injustice and wrong.  The modern organization of Hamas chose the word hamas or violence because it uses the most brutal forms of violence  - murder, rape, kidnapping, beheading, burning, torture etc. against innocent civilians - to control and destroy state of Israel and even terrorize it’s own people.

After the deadly Hamas 10/7 attack on peaceful Israeli citizens and foreigners of villages neighboring Gaza - kidnapping, torturing, murdering babies, children, teens, parents, grandparents, etc. - the entire world can see that Hamas means violence, terrorism and cruelty.

Violence (hamas) against innocent civilians is evil and is a threat to us all no matter your religion, nationality, tribe, etc. Violent people will harm or kill anyone who does not agree with or support their cause, which in this case is to destroy Israel as a Jewish state and institute Islam and Sharia law.  Yah tells us in His word that He hates hamas and even destroyed a whole civilization during the time of Noach because of the shedding of innocent blood.

People of the world should stand against hate and any sort of violence and terrorist organizations and acts against civilians, which leads to war and more bloodshed.  War is deadly to our husbands/wives, sons/daughters, brothers/sisters, families and friends.

Hamas is not synonymous with muslims, Palestinians or Arabs.  Many muslims, Palestinians, Arabs and Beduins do not support Hamas and have been greatly harmed by this organization.  Many believe the State of Israel has a right to exist.

Here are some verses about hamas or violence in scripture:

  • 2Sa 22:3 my Elohim is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation. He is my stronghold, my refuge and my savior— from violent people (anshei hamas) you save me.
  • 2Sa 22:49 who sets me free from my enemies. You exalted me above my foes; from a violent man (ish hamas) you rescued me.
  • Psa 17:4 Though people tried to bribe me, I have kept myself from the ways of the violent (hamas) through what your lips have commanded.
  • Psa 18:48 who saves me from my enemies. You exalted me above my foes; from a violent man (ish hamas) you rescued me.
  • Psa 140:1 Rescue me, YHWH, from evildoers; protect me from the violent (hamas),
  • Psa 140:4 Keep me safe, YHWH, from the hands of the wicked; protect me from the violent (hamas), who devise ways to trip my feet.
  • Psa 140:11 May slanderers not be established in the land; may disaster hunt down the violent (hamas).
  • Pro 3:31 Do not envy the violent (hamas) or choose any of their ways.
  • Pro 16:29 A violent person (ish hamas) entices their neighbor and leads them down a path

Friends, join me in praying for an end to hamas - violence and all violent organizations - in Israel and the world.  Pray for those mourning and for the safety and freedom of  all children, women, sick, elderly.
