“From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia My worshipers, The daughter of My dispersed ones, Shall bring My offering.” - Zephaniah 3:10
Yisrael was created as a royal priesthood for the glory of Yah and was called to bring glory and honor to His holy name through offerings of praise:
As a royal priesthood we should be able to bring forth sacrifices of praise to our Elohim in personal, family and congregational worship, which is an important part of our culture.
The good news is, we were blessed with a songbook, the Book of Psalms called Tehillim written in Hebrew.
The prophets told us that YHWH would return the holy tongue so that us that we can again worship Him on one accord:
If you are from the lost tribes of Israel, you may not currently speak, read, or write Hebrew but may long to gain this knowledge and use it in prayer, praise and worship.
Starting in the spring of 2022, by Yah’s grace, I will be leading a monthly tutorial in the Hebrew Tehillim, teaching people to read and/or sing Tehillim and other prayers from the Tenakh. Some of the Hebrew tehillim will be versions of songs I’ve recorded or have yet to record. There may also be special guest psalmists.
The class is appropriate for individuals, families and praise and worship leaders.
Each class will focus on a different psalm, either in part or whole. Students will learn the context, theme/structure, vocabulary, reading and singing of select psalms.
When possible, printable downloads, digital flashcards, links will be made available to class for practice.
This class will be appropriate for beginners through advanced Hebrew speakers.
The class will be held 2nd Sundays.
In this class we will cover various types of Tehillim, such as:
Our goal will be to learn a new psalm each month, which may be a part or whole psalm.
