From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia My worshipers, The daughter of My dispersed ones, Shall bring My offering.” - Zephaniah 3:10

Yisrael was created as a royal priesthood for the glory of Yah and was called to bring glory and honor to His holy name through offerings of praise:

  • Isaiah 43:21 This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.

As a royal priesthood we should be able to bring forth sacrifices of praise to our Elohim in personal, family and congregational worship, which is an important part of our culture.

  • Psalm 9:14  - That I may shew forth all thy praise in the gates of the daughter of Zion: I will rejoice in thy salvation.
  • Psalm 100:4 - Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
  • Psalm 118:19-20 - Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise YHWH: 20 This gate of  YHWH, into which the righteous shall enter.

The good news is, we were blessed with a songbook, the Book of Psalms called Tehillim written in Hebrew.

  • Psalm 98:5 Sing unto YHWH with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm (song of praise).
  • Psalm 105:2 Sing unto him, sing psalms (songs of praise) unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.

The Holy Tongue in worship:

The prophets told us that YHWH would return the holy tongue so that us that we can again worship Him on one accord:

  • Zephaniah 3.9-10 “Then I will return to the people a pure language, that all of them may call on the name of YHWH and serve him with one consent.

If you are from the lost tribes of Israel, you may not currently speak, read, or write Hebrew but may long to gain this knowledge and use it in prayer, praise and worship.

Starting in the spring of 2022, by Yah’s grace, I will be leading a monthly tutorial in the Hebrew Tehillim, teaching people to read and/or sing Tehillim and other prayers from the Tenakh.  Some of the Hebrew tehillim will be versions of songs I’ve recorded or have yet to record.  There may also be special guest psalmists.
